- Simmunity because I just don't like bothering with flu or allergies and it is cheaper. Unless I am playing a vampire sim then I go for sun immunity first.
Then I do moodlet management because it lets me focus my sims more on things outside of keeping them happy. - Inappropriate But in a Good Way.And then I almost give my sims Long Distance Friend .
- iAMciane8 years agoSeasoned AceBefore Seasons, I'd go with fast learner or multi-tasker to help them with homework and faster career progression. After Seasons, it's hands down always simunity. As the others who voted that way mentioned, those negative moodlets are costly to get rid of and one sim invariably passes it to another. I don't mind taking longer to do or learn things. At least they don't have negative impact.
I do also hate the loss of friend moodlet, so I love the long-distance friend LTR too. However, I usually have my sims greet everyone they see the first day, with the goal to meet 25 sims that first day. After that, they make it to friend status quickly with everyone they meet. Once they have 20 friends, relationships won't decay. Of course, there are always rumors and other annoying things that are thrown in to mess up a good thing. (I turn off the celeb option too.) I have my sims travel to vacation worlds or university so they can get their 25 acquaintances over with before they meet the sims in town. Also I like my sims to get the attractive LTR. The 25 acquaintances gives 20 points toward a new relationship and attractive gives 20 points. Friends is at around 42 or 44 points so with 25 acquaintances and attractive all it takes is an introduction to be friends."cwaddell;c-16278459" wrote:

I have my sim children meet the elders that hang out at the bookstore and grocery store so that when the kids age up to teen (and can learn charisma and buy the Attractive LTR) they've already made 25 acquaintances. By the time the kids hit YA, it's highly unlikely that any of those elders would end up as a boss or coworker. Also, family relationships that aren't romantic count towards the celebrity and super friendly challenges. So a teen who's grown up in my game might only need 8 or 10 official friends (as counted for the Super Popular LTW or intermediate wishes) to hit the 20-friend mark. Sometimes, the game drops an acquaintance relationship entirely, so your sim can reintroduce him- or herself and get an instant friend.
Also, when I have a sim that has a ton of friends (maybe 60ish) and has achieved everybody's best friend along with the others, a friendly introduction will sometimes, but not always, lead to an instant best friend. The relationship bar will be at 90 or whatever the minimum for best friends is. I have yet to figure out why, but I think it has something to do with also being attractive (or Attractive) to the other sim. Regardless, I'll take it.
I think almost every sim I play with makes 20 friends eventually; even the ones whose popularity and charisma are irrelevant might need to keep up work relationships. How annoying it would be to have to call your boss every single day just to avoid getting dinged in the job performance metrics for a miniscule relationship drop."puzzlezaddict;c-16278576" wrote:

That sounds like a plan I might try in the future.
My newly aged up teens learn the charisma skill and if they don't already have their 25 acquaintances they get a trip to France on their own so they can get them and also build skills and accumulate happiness points. In town edit I add a desk with computer and an easel or other workbench to the empty rooms off the relic merchant's shop so they can write books, paint pictures or build other skills since they can't go on the tomb adventures.- iAMciane8 years agoSeasoned Ace@cwaddell - I usually avoid travel because of the travel bug that often hits my sims afterwards, but it is a much faster route than university (so I should do that instead). What harm really comes if it's the first thing you do? You just start over again.
As @puzzleaddict has noted, I too will choose the older sims to met first and I have had those acquaintances drop off. (I think it happens when I clear caches after game play.) - @ciane - Are you not using the NRaas Traveler mod? My sims travel like maniacs (or something like that) but with Traveler, Overwatch, and ErrorTrap working together, most of the time there are no glitches and many NRaas users report the same or similar. On the relationship drop-offs, I've never heard of cache clearing being related to anything like that. I wonder if there is another cause if it's happening suddenly, all at once.
- Something social related. Usually I go for 'legendary host' as that can guarantee that if you throw a party you have a good chance of other Sims actually showing up lol

(igazor)
If you have the NRaaS Story Progression plus the NRaaS Money add-on module, you can set it to automatically pay your bills for you:
NRaas > SP > General Options > Options:Money > Options:Debt and Taxes > Automatic Active Billing > True/False
