- IreneSwift8 years agoSeasoned AceDefinitely babies. I hate the night feedings. So they get two days, regardless of how long a lifespan I'm playing.
- EuphorialQueen8 years agoHero (Retired)Baby is the least played with Toddlers coming in second.
Love all my Sims and aim for them to have long happy lives even thru their Elder days.
Edit: Just noticed this is under Sims 3
Have not played Sims 3 since September 2014 when Sims 4 was released.
But my answer is still the same. - the reason I like babies is bc you can interact with them and they stay put in one place lol. you can build your relationship with them super easily before whisking them away to toddlerdom. when they're toddlers, they get fussy, wander about, make messes, and get hungry/cranky/sleepy. and always on the go! especially bc I normally choose the "independent" trait hah. so that's why I don't mind playing with babies.
- ooh.....ALSO just noticed this is about Sims 3.... I can't remember toddlers that well from back then. but my guess is they were also lil balls of fun on the move ^^
- Baby :s
As soon as I get home from the hospital buy a cake and have a birthday aging them up to toddler.Babies get whatever two traits at birth assuming you were a good mommy. There is nothing to be gained messing with those little crying poo factories. At most will take a few screenies of the parents holding the baby then same day birthday always. - NikkeiSimmer8 years agoLegendBabies...already had my fill of changing diapers and feeding in RL, thank you very much, 2AM
Mid-April 2002: @Featherbelle "Honey...our kid's awake...."...Me: "Mmmphfghrrrr..." - stagger over to baby's bedroom, like a Sims 3 Zombie after midnight looking for brains, probably walking into three or four walls enroute, while Mom is going... "Hurry up..." Proceed to get promptly peed on while changing the little one's diaper and then have to wipe it off with a damp washcloth. "Thank you for the impromptu shower, kid" and stagger back off to the bedroom to try and sleep.
Now if there was animations like that in Sims 3...that would make for fun interactions with said baby....
But there isn't... so that's how come I pretty much fast-forward through that stage (max 3 days - EA Minimum ( they usually start annoying me by day 2 if they start to annoy me - which they usually do... so birthday cake...age up).
However if they were fully "FLESHED OUT" as interacting...but then again RL babies tend to lay in their crib and look up at the sky or if they aren't in their crib, they're usually wiggling lumps in one's arms, either protesting that they're hungry, want a diaper change or what-not. - SimplyJen8 years agoSeasoned AceBabies last for two days in my game. I don't age them up before that because, for me, it's cheating. At least they aren't useless objects you can buy in the buydebug section but I still plop them in a crib or swing and forget about them until it's time for cake.
- I think everybody else pretty much covered babies.
They don't do anything.
And I usually prefer to have multiples so the less time they're babies the better.
Here's my spans:

Toddler 10

Teen 34

For me, personally it's a mixture between babies & children. Children I feel are just boring and too restricting. All they do is go to school, do homework & eat. I can't really do much else with them, even with mods! And babies? They don't really do anything... But children are my least favourite. At least with toddlers my Sims are always kept on their toes. My MOST favourite are teens & YA.
Agreed. I tend to fast forward through those stages. - Shae_Coulee8 years agoNew AceLike another player mentioned - babies and children are my least favorite sims to play with. Toddlers are cute though, but I don't play with them very often either. I mainly stick with playing young adults/adults and sometimes teens. I also tend not to age my sims once they've reached the young adult/adult stage.
