- the games don't affect each other in any way whatsoever
- It will be safe to download and play TS4 as it won't mess up TS3. I downloaded TS4 the other night and my TS3 game is still good to go... :)
- Thanks a lot for your comments

I was going to try to say this too. I have not put Origin on my new computer to avoid the risk of having it auto update my Sims 3 from 1.67 to 1.69. This means I no longer have access to my Sims 4 game - unless I get my laptop going again. - I think she's talking about if the Sims 4 is such a step up that it's hard to go back to the Sims 3, not if it'll cause any kind of problems from having both installed. So assuming it's about that:
I play TS4 for its beautiful graphics and Sims and to not be challenged. I play TS3 to be challenged and to have a lot of fun. I went back to TS3 once after an extremely long hiatus and had so much fun, more than I did in the TS4. TS3 accomplishes a lot of things TS4 fails at, but TS4 still has some superiority over TS3, such as game stability. So no, playing TS4 shouldn't (unless there's something TS4 does that ruins TS3 for you) ruin TS3 for you. "AHolyToilet;c-17079901" wrote:

If this is, indeed, what the OP was asking then I don't think there will be an issue since she says she has a very low entertainment budget and the free base game couldn't possibly ruin the TS3 experience for her.- I downloaded it too, just for the plum of it. I think I played for about fifteen minutes, through part of the demo, just to see if it was very different from TS3, and I sincerely felt like playing a technicolor version of TS2... I loved TS2, but this was like going backwards instead of advancing. So now it is just sitting there. Maybe I'll try to create a sim with a big booty, just to see what the fuss is about! Can't help getting a feeling of restraint without the open world :(

If that’s indeed the question, I can only declare what my own experience is. I played Sims 4 a couple of times for about a month and I liked it when I did. Never played long (not for hours and hours), but I did notice the benefits and enjoyed myself. That is, not when I just had the basegame, but I had some fun with GTW and JA and Vampires. But for me it actually always ended nót because I thought “and now I’m fed up with Sims 4”, but because I’d load my Sims 3 game for a change for old time’s sake after a while (not planning to quit Sims 4, but just for variety). For me the effect of doing that has always been not opening Sims 4 again (until something new came along that got my interest).- kaldresh6 years agoNew SpectatorThey tried just giving it away? Bwahahahahahaha. Ahem. Sorry about that...
