- I've had that happen before. I think they have a chance to try and finish their homework instantly with magic and it sometimes backfires. You might try advancing his witch skill level; maybe that will help.

Anyway... I've not played that much with teen witches, so I'll have to watch out for that magic homework option... - Yes, it's a lesson EA is trying to teach us. If you are going to use low-level witch magic skills to get your homework done in a fraction of the time, then you will lose some of that time back by having to bathe. Or you need to organize your time better by doing homework just before you would have needed a bath/shower anyway.
How exactly we are supposed to apply this lesson to something useful in real life remains a mystery for some of us... ;) - LOL, another thing I didn’t know :D
- I hardly ever have my kids do homework at home, it's a waste of time. Just do fun stuff at home, and next day at school "Work on Late Homework". It'll take maybe a day longer to get on the Honor Roll, but you still get there.
The only time they'll do it, is when I decide which townie my kid is going to marry. Then I'll invite them over and do homework together. That way the townie will get a C or B GPA, and won't end up with all horrible traits.
With teen witches, one of the things I work on most is raising their magic skill. So that's 2 reasons I've never noticed the do homework with magic option. - NikkeiSimmer8 years agoLegend

Lesson: Don't use magic to do your homework?
Hmmm...maybe its more like if you take shortcuts with your homework, it will backfire on you and you won't like the result. :D There...life-lesson. :D "bklienhart;c-16246211" wrote:

Using the Multitab 6000 to do homework is fun! :p As long as the sim's other needs (particularly social) aren't too low they can do homework in far less time and it will fill their fun bar. I have my child and teen sims meet friends or talk to friends at school so they can start building friendships early. That helps unlock charisma skill levels. I have them do homework right after school on the Multitab mostly because they finish so quickly and I don't have to worry about stress levels.- In my experience, I can't seem to rely on sims doing all of their homework "late" at school until their hidden homework skill goes over a certain point. Otherwise it takes them all school day to catch up and they aren't progressing on their scholastic scores while doing that so they lose much more than a sim day or two of such progress. After a certain point, they can get 50% of their "late" homework done pretty quickly after having done the first half at home and then move onto other tones in the school rabbit hole. And then after another point, all or almost all of it can be done at school with plenty of time to get and stay on the Honor Roll if desired.
But I play with some pretty long child and teen stages and use NRaas mods to adjust things like skill gain rates (including the homework one) and throttle school progress to match their life spans then a bit further, so probably not everyone sees this. - Sigzy_298 years agoLegendWow I didn't even know this was a thing in TS3 ahahaha
- And I thought I was finally done with homework for good.
I pretty much always play on a normal lifespan, and my child/teen sims almost never to their homework at home. If the children go to school in a good mood and "work on late homework" first, by the end of day 2 they all have A's. The only distinction is that ambitious kids can switch to "meet new friends," while non-ambitious ones have to "work hard" for the rest of the school day. I sometimes have teens do one day of homework if I want them meeting new friends right away, but usually I don't bother. And they do still gain *experience* while they're doing the homework.
I also noticed years ago, after I patched the game and installed my first mods (so I don't know which caused it), that the students would start to gain on homework as soon as they arrived at school, even if they were early. I think they do it on the bus, too, although they mostly just teleport there to save time.
Since I always did as little homework in school as I could possibly get away with, I'm glad I can impart the same... let's go with "efficient"... philosophy to my sims.
