Your favorite type of houses

I've decided to use a blank world and place certain types of houses in different areas, like:

An Asian section complete with Asian markets and Asian styled homes and sims
British section with tudor style homes
Haunted House section close to Vampire clubs etc and graveyards
Fairy section
French
Victorian Houses in one spot
Modern style homes section

It is time consuming, but it breaks the monotony.

It is hard to have a favorite; it just depends on which style I am in the mood to play.

Do you prefer the modern mansion, Victorian's, or brick homes etc ????

I love Twin skies, do you have a favorite BLANK world you like to use?

  • I find it depends on my mood, and what I want for my Sims. Like for instance this family I want her to become super famous and build a big mansion with a fountain in front. Sometimes I go really modern, sometimes traditional.
  • I love mixing it up as far as upper class, middle class then the low income type homes and trailers.Lucky Palms is the perfect town for it.They have the big upper class homes, they have the middle class homes and a seperate area across the highway I turn into trailer park homes.Plus you got the houses on the dock area by the water.

But hate huge sim houses :s :s :s Don't build em don't like them at all.The most I like in my towns is two story but sensibly made. The things a simmer must realize is sims are kinda stoopid. You can have a giant home and if the sim gets the whim to use a computer they do not care if one is in the next room they might want to use the one farthest away on the third floor that takes a sim hour to walk to.

Houses should not take you 45 sim minutes to walk from your front door to your bedroom.

Edit: My favorite type homes are cottage types and stone homes I love stone houses.
  • Although I admire houses built by other players, I don't really care what my sims live in as long as it is big, open and single-storey. I like to let my sims loose and sit back with the walls down and watch them doing whatever they want. I don't even care much about their furniture as long as it is good quality and adds to the environment score. Come to think of it, I live like that too - my surroundings are not important as long as I have my toys ;)

  • @Nikkei_Simmer You are fired !!!! Burn it down and gather your belongings, but leave your lunch in the break room
  • I start in mepty worlds and usually start the first settlers out on mepty lots and have them slowly build their homes though most houses start out simple and basic in new towns and they can become more sophisticated over the generations as the town grows and it becomes more modern.I've been making new CC with S3OC for enableing building cheaper starter homes without being limited to using the tiniest lot for all starters.I can build on a larger sized lot without the objects adding to the cost of buying the home.
