I came here from the link in @StephSteb 's signature. I was very confused at first. I started up my game, found one of the afflicted items, but couldn't see any extra stencils or how to save them as a new preset. I read everything about three times. Then I read portions of the original thread and saw someone make a comment about 'not downloading the lot first'. I didn't realize, having read the text in the first post, that I needed to download something first. I know that this thread was mostly copied from the original thread, but I think it might be a good idea to place a note near the beginning that a download is required.
As a note, the link at the end of the post leads to a 404 page. However, Mr. Hawk does have a lot uploaded to his studio in the exchange, and it can be found here: http://www.thesims3.com/assetDetail.html?assetId=4894476
