Should I try the advice given for blackscreen? Even though i am getting bluescreen (fatal error, system repair needed etc).

Hi! If u moved your sims doc and tried a test world and u keep crashing also check your in game graphic settings depending on your card you may need to lower. If you have a good card or your settings r low and u crash then I agree try the black screen solution. Good luck
My card is up to the task (handles the game on high settings and around the forums all other simmers with it seem to be able to run it on all high settings so i don't think it is that) so i don't think its that. I can't try a test world as it doesn't crash though, but bluescreens before i can get to that screen (it crashes on the loading university screen), which is what worries me. Guess i will try the blackscreen fix then! Thanks for your help.
