15% Coupon Code?? Help

I was chatting with someone earlier Prince about an issue I had with a Sims 3 Store purchase. He gave me a discount coupon code for 15% off. What can I use this one? I didn't know if it was for a orgin order or a Sims 3 store order? I've tried it on both and it says invalid, didn't know how to redeem it. Can I get some help please??

    if buying a game from origin in the order form there is  If you have a promotional code, enter it here: enter the code click apply   ...i have no idea if it works for buying simpoint bundle
