This is ridiculous. I've spent hours reading the threads, following suggestions to try fixing this game. No luck.
Thank you for all those of you who posted help suggestions (top of p. 2 may be promising for some, but no luck for me.
I have MacBook Pro (Retina, 13-inch, Early 2015); 3.1GHz; 16 GB memory... and the **dreaded** Intel Iris Graphics 6100.
Top of the line MacBook Pro. The only game I've ever played on any of my computers has been the Sims. I only recently got this computer and downloaded the game (with ALL the expansions). The game & expansions worked on my old computer--2009 MacBook Pro 15" (however, in the end, TS3 may have aided to crashing the hard drive--died during play...The game never ran as smoothly as it had on a previous PC).
Going through $$$$---Sims games, expansions, computer fixes, and now a new computer that won't run it---I am fed up with it!!!!...yet I want to play. :s
1. If anyone knows of a fix that hasn't been posted, please share. Origin/EA should try to fix the problem, not just move on to the next gen game. Apparently there are many people out there that still want to play TS3. Btw, their "help line"/email is limited. Probably because they don't want to hear from us.
2. If I cannot play TS3, so be it. Another Sims collection shelved.
Mac users: Does Sims 2 run well? would it be worth downloading? The graphics isn't as good as TS3, but its better than nothing...and would I be able to use those ancient discs?
3. Please, is Sims 4 worth it or another waste for Mac users???
