2. If I cannot play TS3, so be it. Another Sims collection shelved.
Mac users: Does Sims 2 run well? would it be worth downloading? The graphics isn't as good as TS3, but its better than nothing...and would I be able to use those ancient discs?
I read that TS2 Ultimate Collection for Mac has been updated for new Macs, but I don't know about the old disks.
The only way that the TS2 can be uploaded from a disk on a Mac is if you access to a PowerPC Mac (G5 in case you don't know) to be able to install the Base Game. If you want to play TS2, I highly recommend the The Sims 2 Super Collection available on the Apple App Store. It has all of the EPs and SPs ported to the Mac by Aspyr (no it isn't the whole collection). It includes the following:
Base Game
University
Nightlife
Open for Business
Pets
Family Fun Stuff (Stuff Pack)
Glamour Life (Stuff Pack)
Seasons
Happy Holidays (Stuff Pack)
Bon Voyage
You will need to download (for free) the Package Installer and Body Shop as separate programs. To locate the Game data, it's found under the Library, not your normal Apps. (Which is where the original files were located)
There are still active creators for CC for TS2, so enjoy and have fun!
