Abnormally high death rate in babies in my Sims 3 town

Once in awhile I just go family to family "making Whoohoo" to help repopulate the town, but I don't actually play those families for long since they are not my main family. If I let those families raise the child not under my supervision sometimes they die and I have even read in the newspaper that the so called baby "died of starvation" or "drowned in a pool" lately almost every family that I make have babies can't seem to take care of them so it has been a complete waste of efforts trying to repopulate the town.

Anyone else having this problem?

Any ways to fix this ?

    That's an issue with the EA StoryProgression. It has a random value where Sims die but Sims that work are protected from that so it's mostly toddlers and babies that are affected and then die.

    There is no solution to the issue but to tirn off Story Progression.
