 Thank you so much. Ok, that blows out of the water my 'old method' of getting a Perfect Bridgeport! If I understand correctly, I can only use my 'own' created sims. I would think tho it should be safe to use the other 'sorted' Ea sims in hoods they did not come from? As long as I don't replace the Sims in the hood I play? Is that correct?
As regards the Avi hair, I do not use it on any other self made Sim, and now confine that Sim to the world she is in. I don't add her to the 'npc population' in my other worlds in that guise. I made a copy of her in a generic house, and changed her hair. Not sure if that gets rid of the problem. I don't have her in the other file folders with the saves and content.
As I understand it, the only way to safely combine the Sims I've sorted to be 'good background' sims in a Town I enjoy playing, would be to move them to a user created world, where they are not 'coded' as someone else? The only 'City' world I know and trust is Coasterboi's LA LN, Is there an empty City world?
I know about the empty SSV, and of course Pyron.'s worlds.
Seemingly there are also problems adding venues and bld's as well.
Oh my giddy Aunt! My head is spinning! Thank heavens I found you girls. I've had suspicions that all was not what it seemed. You are deeply appreciated.
To be really safe, never delete any EA sims or EA ghosts or EA tombstones, and only add sims you personally made in CAS to any world, and/or only add sims made by someone else if you trust that person made the sim in CAS.
My logic tells me that once an EA sim has been binned to the library, all former ties are broken. My logic also tells me that if you export and then install that exported sim into CAS, and then remake them there before you put them into your game, they will be free of all former coding. BUT logic has never worked very well, when it comes to this game. So my advice is be safe rather than sorry.
If anyone knows for sure that library binned EA sims (who had back-stories before binning) are safe to play in different games, I'd sure like to know, positively. Likewise, if anyone knows for sure that exported/installed EA sims (who had back-stories before export) are safe to play in different games, I'd sure like to know that positively, as well.
