I played for two years with no mods and no CC. I still avoid CC most of the time; got burned by it too many times in Sims 2! I have always had issues with my towns turning into lag-fests or becoming corrupt. But then, I have always evicted many of EA's sims and then deleted the in edit town. And I have used the WE almost from the beginning too. Though I don't think I even used any cheats for the first year-and-a-half or so. Even now, I still rarely use MOO and hardly ever use CFE because I have seen the screwy ways they can act in houses.
