trying to install Sims 3 on PC. requires I login to origin.com, but when I try, it gives me a message that I'm not online even though I am.  what can I do?

  • DayniteLatearly  Origin has been gone for a while now.  If you're trying to install via disc, of course the old installer on the disc wouldn't know that and would try to install a version of Origin that EA servers won't connect with.  This isn't going to work.

Instead, you'll need to install the EA App, login, and register your code(s).  If they're already registered, login to the account that owns them.

Thanks anyway.  Tried, downloaded app, entered codes, seems to confirm, but only have options to buy other games, no access to my game. tried downloading game again but still blocked at "not online" message. (already registered?(new). login to account that owns them? where do I get that info?)

  • DayniteLatearly  Try clearing the EA App's cache:

Sometimes it takes the App a little while to catch up to new purchases or registrations.  But if the codes had already been used, you should have received an error message to that effect.

To be clear, you likely can't install the game via disc no matter what you do.  The goal is to get your content showing in your game library.

  • saw a message I missed before, I think the codes already been used. guess I was had.  thanks for the help.
