For some reasons, I reinstalled Sims 3. It ran without problems before, but after the reinstall, the game keeps showing a black screen. I cleaned the registry and installed the Alderlaker patch, but it didn't work. Deleting the mods folder allows me to enter the game, even though the mods folder worked fine before.
NrHunter Then it sounds like you need to sort through your mods to see what's preventing the game from launching. One possible culprit is NRaas Cupcake if you don't currently have the bakery Store set installed—that would cause the game to crash on launch every time. Another is having the NRaas MasterController Progression module present without the base MC and StoryProgression mods.
Other than that, test in small groups, or use the 50/50 method.
I used the 50/50 method to find the problematic mod folder, but they were working fine before, it's weird.
It's not a problem with nraas's mods, but with some CC
