Karritz - yeah, I notice it has always done that. So when I am building in particular I make sure I check the auto roof is off the minute I get on the lot to build. I sometimes use auto roof but other times I want various heights and styles, so I always make sure it is not clicked for Auto roof.
But generally I notice that is most likely to be set according to the last house you were on the lot with. I notice it is most likely on autoroof after I have played or built on a lot where an autoroof was used. It detects it I believe. But it is always a good idea to check that the minute you get on a lot to build because it makes it dark to build if it puts a roof over you and you just started the first floor. Generally if I have forgotten to check I am reminded the minute I put a closed 4 walls up as it gets instantly dark. Then I can kick myself for forgetting to check and go shut it off. hehehe
I hope I caught your questions. I don't always remember to come here and check I get pretty busy testing worlds and helping here and there. At the same time I am trying to put a few sims through Uni and at the same time check out as much as I can about Uni as well. That might take a while, as I am also testing 2 worlds and checking out a third.
