I can tell you exactly what it is your Intel Card. The game wont play on it we have had several people this week same problem. The Intel card was not made for gaming. It may have worked for a while but is now giving out. Also You have a touch sceen that is also no good for gaming. This game can be really quirky on what it likes and does not like. I have an old touchscreen i3 and the game does not like my old computer. Mine was an all in one. Is yours a laptop or all in one or is it a pc. The only way you can change your graphics is if you computer is a PC
- 12 years ago
Oh great ☹️ Mine is also a all in one PC , but it use to work so well ☹️ what should I do? because realistically it should work as I paid good money for all my sims and for it not to work all of a sudden is awful ☹️
- Anonymous12 years ago
Updates and other things can cause the game to not work where your game might have worked before. It's possible your card has given out from all the gaming you did on it when it was tecnically not supposed to be used for gaming. We had someone in here the other day with Alienwear. Dell put intel cards in Alienwear and and the game won't run. EA does list their system requirements Your video card is not on the list of accepted as part of the system requirements Some non accepted cards will play the game and some won't
Did you add any Ep's recently that caused the game to no longer work or the game just stopped wroking one day? If you recently added EP's to the game but the game was workijng prior I can only suggest taking out those EP's to get your game back to where it will play.
No I have not added any for a while now, I took my last one of I installed and it still shows the same issue, I literally don't understand what to do.
- Anonymous12 years ago
If it is an all in one you can't change anything in the computer. To me it sounds like the video card is straining and giving out with the game. Once that happens to where the video card does not work at all , the computer can't be repared. You would need a new computer. Its the same thing with a laptop. All in one laptop or all in one desk top are a lot more fragile than a desktop PC. With a desktop pc you can change many things but you can't with all in one computers. For now as long as your computer is working and you can stream videos ect your computer for now is still ok but your card may not be able to handle gaming anymore siince your card was not designed to game it was designed for streaming. PS I don't work for EA I am just a player like you trying to help.
I appreciate your help, but I just don't understand why one day it suddenly gave up. Are you basically saying I will have to play sims on another PC?
- Anonymous12 years ago
Your welcome and Yes on a different computer if you have one. The game does have system requirements. Your PC meets the requirements accept for the video card and having a touch screen could cause issues too You need Ram, CPU 2.4 Hz or better plus a good video card. The card should be medium to higher level AMD or Nvidia. No Intel cards especially for the newer EP's.
PS your computer is like a car. It can work one day and give out the next
- 12 years ago
Thank you 🙂 I'll try load it on my old computer which it use to work smoothly on as I updated the graphics card then too, thank you for the help, I appreciate it just wish EA would have told me this, as they never mentioned any of it!
- Anonymous12 years ago
Your welcome and you have to realize that EA made this game on Vista, they had to try and make it work for XP(now Gone) , windows 7, windows 8 and windows 8.1. It all depends on how your computer is designed as to whether the game will work on your computer or not. EA has no way of known if your vidoo card will just give out but they do list system requirements on their web with accepted video cards and it is on the boxes if you bought the cd's . I have a new computer and a new video card that is not on the accepted list either but it does play the game.

It is only a small portion of your DxDiag but the CPU is low for the game. You have 1.3GHz and minimum is 2.4Ghz. I googled your CPU AMD E-300 APU with Radeon(tm) HD Graphics (2 CPUs), ~1.3GHz and the sims 3 . people were posting the game was crasing on them.
