I don't know if its me being dumb or what. But when your on the town mode and you can view the whole town, to put a new house onto the map you got to have a lot thingy.... how do i put one down??

Let me clarify. You want to know how to put down an empty lot into your game?
In Edit Town mode you see your options like move lot and bulldose? Under all those is lots, it sorta looks like a grid. Once you click on that it will give you all the lot size options availalbe.
Once you pick one and your trying to place it, it can be tricky sometimes, much of the time it will "snap" to the road, if not use the < and > buttons to rotate. Once you have it down It defaults it to residential I believe. There is a button on the lot summery (when you click on the lot) that has options for community lots.
Warning, not many places have room for the really big lots and if you move your large lot/home to another town/world you may not find room for it and might have to delete an existing lot in order to put yours in its place.
