Can’t download CC

Stuck trying to download cc to my sims 3 on Samsung laptop. Watched YouTube videos and done everything right down to the mods folder etc but it’s still not showing up in my launcher in the downloads ...

    blazeabud  Sims 3 custom content comes in two forms.  Files that end in .package go into Mods > Packages, and these do NOT show up in the launcher.  Files that end in .Sims3Pack go into ...The Sims 3 > Downloads, and once they're there, you can install them through the launcher's Downloads tab.

    In either case, make sure to delete the five cache files after adding any content to your game.  For reference, they are:

    • CASPartCache.package
    • compositorCache.package
    • scriptCache.package
    • simCompositorCache.package
    • socialCache.package

    Thanks, so am I right in saying once I’ve done that if the cc I’ve downloaded ends in .packages and doesn’t go in the launcher will it just be in game?
