I have been buying expansion packs as CDs, because sometimes I have to uninstall and reinstall expansion packs or even the Sims 3 base game. If I buy an expansion pack through Origin, can I re-download and install it multiple times on multiple computers, for example, if I got a new computer?

you shouldn't need to buy or i should say re buy them in Origin if you already own expansions/stuff packs and they are registered to your account there should be a digital version of your expansion/stuff pack in your origin my games tab the my games tab is found in the Origin client that is downloaded and installed to your computer then log in there with the email and password used for your account
i have and play from a mix i.e. disks and digital downloads all my games show up in the Origin my game tab so if i get a new computer i can digitally download them all if i wish now having said that sometimes issues can occur we're a post away if you need help on the issue whatever it may be
