Can You Manually Save A Game? (Sims3)

Question

I was playing for some time and forgot to perodically save the game. Now the game froze up. Is it possible to someone save this game still frozen? (I used Ctrl+Alt+Delete). Hope some one is on, so I can go to bed, thanks.

The game is frozen because it is "not responding"

If you that work at EA saw this post and made my game ready to save - it started responding (15 minutes or so later I think), it will not let me save because a dialog box is open and returns me to the game frozen. I have a task to take a book to a person and was using the skills sheet to see which book sold better to take in to that person and it is that form that is stuck and will not let me manuever in the game. [When you select skills, then writing, then it shows your books and stats]

that has happened to me a couple of times and i had to taskmanger to close it down now there is a folder in your electronicsart/the sims 3 named CurrentGame.sims3 open that if their are files in the folder delete them, while playing it is normal for files to be in there but once we save and quit the folder empties out BUT if the game crashes or have to taskmanger out of it the files are there and are of no use and can make getting a save difficult if we launch and play when you launch your game again it will more than likely at the point you last saved so some play time may be lost

also check your saves folder if any have .bad at the end of it delete them they are no good and need to go
