Othewise, I need a few more details. What exactly do you meaan by "Origin goes back screen and nothing installs"? I take it you open the launcher, select an item from the Downloads tab, and click Install, so what do you see after that? Please also confirm that you're playing on a Mac, or if your computer runs Windows, I can move your post elsewhere.

@Arishka145 Please clean-uninstall Origin, as described here:

and reinstall it. But you shouldn't actually see Origin when installing content through the launcher. As long as the launcher is showing, Origin should be minimized. However, you do of course need to sign into Origin before opening the Sims 3 launcher, and please do open Origin and the launcher separately before trying to install anything.
Please also let me know whether you're running the 32-bit or 64-bit version of Sims 3.
