Can't Buy Sim Points

All day today I've been trying off and on to buy SimPoints from the store and it's not processing. I click "purchase" and it just reloads the payment page. Sometimes it won't even let me select a bundle and it just reloads that page. Other times I just get an error page saying the site is down and "one of our best people is working on it." 

I checked on the community forums and people over there have been complaining about this issue for days now. Yet there are no official announcements acknowledging it, no updates on when they think it's going to be fixed, nothing. This is incredibly frustrating that there doesn't seem to be any progress in fixing it.

Normally EA is all about trying to get more of my money - I'm literally trying over and over to give it to you, EA! Just let me buy a SimPoints package!

  • I talked to a CS advisor and he had me go into the Origin client and delete my stored CC information, then re-enter it. After that purchasing the points worked just fine. So if anyone else is having this issue, give that a try.

    sometimes what works is to clear the internet cache and switch browsers if for example using chrome or safari switch to IE or Firefox

  • Tried that. ☹️ I tried Chrome and IE on my computer, and then Safari on my phone. Still no luck. Trying to buy through Origin doesn't work either.

    is the flag on the sims3 site set to your country ? 

    other than that try contact CS to see if they can see what is going on

  • I'm still having problems with this. So how do you delete the stored cc information on Origin?

    im having the same problem but the good news is even though i followed the link and it said i had no payment information stored i did find out that all the time i tried faild so i dont have to worry about being charged for them
