Can't change hair

For sims 3 In create a sim I can no longer change my sims hair. It will zoom but nothing comes up. Even when i'm playing when I do change appearance I cannot change hair either. I haven't installed/uninstalled anything lately it just randomly stopped letting me change their hair. Any ideas how to fix it?
