Can't connect to EA server for sims3 pets on my Xbox 360

I have recently purchased my Xbox 360 and the game, Sims3 Pets. when i click start it brings me to the starter menu, at the bottom of the screen it says to click ' y ' to connect to EA server . every...

Actually, I just found out that EA took down the online servers for the console versions of The Sims 3: Pets back in 2012. Which is very dissapointing.
