Can't connect to EA server for sims3 pets on my Xbox 360

I have recently purchased my Xbox 360 and the game, Sims3 Pets. when i click start it brings me to the starter menu, at the bottom of the screen it says to click ' y ' to connect to EA server . every...

Here it is 2018 and can not enjoy the game fully because cant connect to serveres and there is a lot of decorations and things that are in this game that would have been great to create new style and exchange. It also is baffulling that the cool stuff here is not in the sims 3 buy.
