Can't Connect to Exchange (PS3)

I can't connect to the EA exchange using the Sims 3 Pets; I have the online pass downloaded and everything, however, whenever I try to connect I get an error message saying that I cannot connect to the EA servers at this time. Its not a problem with the internet, and my router works fine. Please help asap.
