What's your operating system ? Did you install service pack 1 if you're on Windows 7 ?
Im using Windows 7 and I have no idea if there are any packs installed. None that I know of
I have changed within the "origin" icon on the desktop the various packs and then restarted origin each time but nothing has changed. I have also changed my default browser hoping that would make a difference. So far nothing. Also, uninstalling and reinstalling origin as well as the base game and still the same error message.
click start and open the control panel. double click system. It should say
Windows 7
copyright blah blah
Service Pack 1
If it doesn't say Service Pack 1 you need to go to microsoft.com and download and install Windows 7 service pack 1 for your computer.
The default browser doesn't change anything in the game. The game is hard coded to use IE. I'm thinking it's time for you to post your computer's dxdiag.
