d0fdef48c2338f24 If you're going to do another clean uninstall, I'd suggest reinstalling both the EA App and Sims 3 using a new admin Windows account. Make it local, as in, don't link it to your Microsoft account or any email address. If this works, you may be able to play in your main account too, depending on the original source of the error.
I gave that a try but it didn't work, got the same problem in my new local account :(
Feels like I've tried everything I could find on here that worked for others but nothing seems to work for me. The game ran flawlessly a couple of days ago.
I saw a suggestion to do a dxdiag earlier, so I did that if that can be of any help?
