Can't run Sims 3

I keep getting an error message saying that The Sims 3 doesn't recognize my GPU and hardware. If I try changing any graphics settings, it won't load the game. Can anyone help me?

Graphics - AMD Radeon(TM) 860M Graphics

CPU - AMD Ryzen AI 7 350 w/ Radeon 860M 8 Cores

When I change the graphic settings, the game goes black when I try to load any file. I can load the admin menu, but can't actually load a file. I don't know how you would go about changing the game program if you think that would help. Would you be able to tell me how I can do it?  I also added the DXDiag, and I downloaded the Sims through the EA.

  • Dark_Pheonix0720  The "unrecognized video card" error is meaningless and not the cause of the issue by itself.  Does the game load if you don't change the graphics settings?  And if you do change the settings at the Main Menu, what exactly happens when you try to load a save?

Let me know if you've tried to get your GPU recognized or made any other edits to the game's program files, and whether you've installed the game through the EA App, Steam, or with a disc.

Please also provide a dxdiag.  Click Windows key-R, enter dxdiag in the run box, wait for the scan to finish, click "Save all information," and save the file to your desktop.  From there, you can attach it to a reply using the paper clip (Attachment) icon included with the other formatting buttons.
