@jkorenar Are you willing to use mods? If so, I'd recommend adding NRaas ErrorTrap, Overwatch, and MasterController. The first to do their cleanup on their own, with no need for player input; MC doesn't do anything unless you issue a command. If you're interested in trying, you can find links to the mods and to instructions on how to install them here:
The procedure would be to add the mods, delete the cache files, load the save, wait a few sim-minutes, and use MC to reset the town: click on City Hall and select NRaas > MC > Town Options > Reset Everything. When it's done (it can take a few minutes and will show you a pop-up), let the game clock run a few more sim-minutes, "save as," quit, delete the cache files again, and reload.
If you don't want to use mods, or you try them and still can't save your household, I'd suggest splitting the sims into smaller households in a number of different combinations. (Save, quit, delete the cache files, and reload before trying to save the housholds to the library.) It's possible that only one or two sims are the issue and that you can save most of the rest, then either save the problem sims separately or recreate them. If family relationships are important, you could use MasterController to recreate the ones erased by saving the sims separately.
THIS SAVED MY GAME!! THANK YOU SO MUCH!! Ever since I started playing Sims 3 again, I have encountered many problems and systems that are not working! THANK YOU AGAIN!!!
