@nycbigl A game folder, the one in Documents (not the program files), can be moved around however you want. TS3 will only read it if it's specifically in Documents\Electronic Arts, so if you move it, or even rename it from "The Sims 3" to something else, the game will create a new, blank one to take its place. But you can always delete the new folder and put the old one back (or give it back its proper name). This is a normal thing to do. I do it all the time when I'm testing, and some players periodically recreate the game folder and move their saves over just to be safe.
If you don't want to do that, though, you can take an intermediate step and remove some of the files inside instead. If you don't do it already, be sure to delete the five cache files directly in the TS3 folder. They should be deleted regularly anyway, as they tend to clog up with stale data. For reference, they are:
- CASPartCache.package
- compositorCache.package
- scriptCache.package
- simCompositorCache.package
- socialCache.package
You can also delete everything inside DCBackup except for ccmerged.package. The other files are all related to installed content, both store stuff and cc. But their only purpose is to make cc stick to uploads, so there's no harm in deleting everything. (Your store stuff is actually installed elsewhere, so it wouldn't be affected.) The only exception is ccmerged, which is required to make premium store content work.
It's a good idea to remove all the files in Exports except for the one you're trying to upload as well, just in case the launcher isn't handling all that data very well.
There's also a file in Downloads labeled [your email].bin. Deleting this file rarely helps, usually only with launcher login issues, but it won't hurt.
Finally, it's a good idea to remove your Screenshots and RecordedVideos folders, if there's anything in them. You can keep your screenshots elsewhere; they'll open the same wherever they are on your computer. RecordedVideos are apparently a pain to work with, but the same goes for them.
Hopefully something works, but if not, I'll ask for more ideas. Even if this file won't upload, you can always upload it elsewhere. SimsFileShare is popular, and some creators use Tumblr or other social media sites. (Don't ask me; I have no idea.) So there are ways to share your work even when the Exchange doesn't cooperate.
