1. I'm having the same issue. I dled the Sims 3 CAP and it worked fine but then I tried playing my original game and I got the same error message.

I uninstalled CAP, uninstalled and reinstalled Origin, and I also changed the name of my Sims 3 folder and the Mods folder, which worked BUT all my cc and such was gone. So I got rid of the new folder and now I'm still stuck with a launcher that doesn't work AT ALL. Help.
