Code Not Working On EA Website

I bought an unused Sims 3 Seasons on Amazon, and it went to the Origin launch screen. Everything is working fine, but on the EA Sims website, when I go to redeem my code, it says it is invalid. I have put in the code several times, but it is not working... Help?
