Crinrict THANK YOU!

First of all, if I haven't said thank you, THANK YOU!  I thought that my game had zero problems because I never use CC and I've followed installing and updating very carefully.

However,I came across one of your replies about fixing your game without reinstalling them, this  http://sims3.crinrict.com/en/2011/02/tutorial-how-to-reinstall-the-game.html  . Most of my games are downloads. Since my internet has a data limit, I really hate downloading them all over again.. I got curious and just followed your directions to reset my games to factory settings without reinstalling them. What I discovered is that I had leftover setup files in each program folder for each of my EP's and SP's. This surprised me because I thought that I had removed these months ago via my settings under Origin.

Now, every little thing that used to happen that made my eye twitch in frustration, disappeared! My game starts up infinitely faster and everything runs significantly better!

By setup files, I mean the game installers that are saved with downloaded versions of games. I did not know where the game installers were being saved, so I would just open Origin from my desktop.

Then in the top left corner click Origin, Application Settings,  and Delete All Game Installers.

When I used your guide to check each of my EP's and SPs I saw that the installers had never been deleted. For example I went to: Program Files(x86), Origin Games, The Sims 3 Supernatural. On this level, I saw an extra folder named something like "_installer" and 2 files named something like Setup.exe

I deleted those 2 files and the "_installer" folder for each of my games that contained them.

I should have copied the names of the files and folders to be more specific about the names but I forgot to do so.
