Cure Tiberium Sickness?

Hi :)

My sim child collected some tiberium in Egypt. They went there late Friday-early Saturday and returned early Saturday, as they do in the Sims. Later on Saturday she started getting a nauseous moodlet which said it was from tiberium in the inventory. So I moved it to a storage chest, and it will be taken to her auntie's work, the Science Facility, for an assignment, on Monday morning. The moodlet said a duration of 2 hours. However, by Sunday afternoon, a day later, the moodlet is still there and still 2 hours, even after resetting and restarting.

the googly a-i suggested eating sweet-grass, so she did but that hasn't made a difference.

Will it go away after the tiberium has been handed in at the Science Facility, and so completely out of the house? Is there something else that is supposed to cure it? If that isn't applied, what will happen? Surely she wouldn't die, as a child sim. She hasn't been acting any differently, and doesn't look any different.

  • DivinylsFan  I've never seen the moodlet disappear on is own, although I think the most I've waited is three or four sim-days.  In the end, I just ctrl-click it away (with testingcheatsenabled true) because it should have disappeared long before that.  And no, my sim didn't die, and he didn't get any sicker or start behaving any differently, any of the half-dozen or so times this has happened.

I think the issue has to do with the travel transition, something breaking about the timer and the different worlds.  It would be interesting to see whether the timer started ticking down if your sim visited Egypt again, but that's not a reason to travel by itself.

They will actually be going there again before too long as the other kid, a teen has a LTW for Seasoned Traveller and he was just a few percentage points away from a level 3 there. So maybe I'll test that.

    Thanks :)
