@marcker0907 I've been playing in my Island Paradise save over the past few days and there are definitely still plenty of things you can do which make this pack very enjoyable. If you read through this thread you'll see some workarounds. For example, one is to get your sim a rowing boat, make it their preferred boat, use the cheat to teleport your sim out into the middle of the ocean (you'll need to enable testing cheats for that), then click on any bit of land. Your sim will automatically use the rowing boat to start making their way to that bit of land. While they're still rowing in the middle of the ocean, click in the bit of water in the boat (you'll see the boat doesn't sit properly on the water) and you'll get all the options for fishing, snorkelling, etc. If your sim has a surf board in their inventory, you'll get windsurfing as an option too. You can add other boats to their inventory (eg speedboat) and change which boat they prefer to use. And when you get their diving skill up they can use the diving locations and explore caves etc, which is great fun. If they have a preferred boat in their inventory, they'll use that boat automatically to get to different locations around the islands. You can also use these boats in similar ways in other worlds.
Obviously it's not ideal, and really it should be fixed given that it's still being sold without any warning about these issues - but neither is it totally wasted money. Now that I've learnt how to make it work, I love playing there and am very happy to have the pack.
