I've been playing Sims 3 on my Mac for a while and it seems all actions related to the ocean are missing.
Is there a way to fix it though a patch or a mod?

@IsmaelFaresJ No, there's no fix for this, or it would have been noted in the master thread. I've merged your post into the master, by the way; there's no need for multiple threads on the same subject.

I have the same problem, however clicking through boats seems to be quite effective. The big problem I have is that the boats are rather random so I wanted to ask if there's a mod or something alike that would allow you to spawn boats where you want them to be?

@Luxamea_3447 No, there's no mod for that. But does it help to click through another object, for example a beach umbrella? Those you can place more easily, and between that and free-rotating the camera (hold down the middle mouse button, or I think ctrl-right-click and move the mouse/trackpad), it should be possible to click in the right location.

I play on a mac and have found a work around. If your able to place a boat on the water or find a boat that is already on the ocean you can click where you see the water and it will give you all ocean options. Without a boat on the water I don't get ocean options when I click the ocean, but my sims do swim autonomously in the ocean and can travel by boat and my mermaid sims swim in the ocean to get to other islands
