@Luxamea_3447 No, there's no mod for that. But does it help to click through another object, for example a beach umbrella? Those you can place more easily, and between that and free-rotating the camera (hold down the middle mouse button, or I think ctrl-right-click and move the mouse/trackpad), it should be possible to click in the right location.
Sadly, I either can't or I simply don't have the right technique to click through those other objects. Thank you for helping nonetheless 🙂
@Luxamea_3447 Sorry to hear that. I've never been able to figure out which objects work and which don't, but it might be something about boats being a surface sims can stand on, as in, they're one layer up from the water as opposed to on top of it. If that's the case, there probably isn't a good stand-in, with the possible exception of a pier, but it's not like you can plunk one down wherever you want and get all the angles you need.
