Hey everyone
I just downloaded Sims 3 last month and seasons this week. Unfortunately, I have the same issues. I am glad I found this thread. Reinstalling and snow mods did not work. Did someone come up with a solution? Would be glad to know since I got the EP primarily because of the beautiful snow and my money would feel wasted if I could not play without the winter/snow on the ground...

@Ribas-PD I haven't found or seen any workaround for this particular issue, unfortunately. There seems to be something broken about the layering of worlds that's causing this as well as the inability to fish on open water or collect insects. I don't know anything more than that, but it does appear that this could only be fixed on EA's end.
So, basically we should expect it to never be resolved then? This game is still being sold for money, right?
@SimMinnie79 There's no indication that we'll ever see a patch for this and other issues with the 64-bit version. But then again EA hasn't said there will be NO patch either, so we're kind of in limbo. At any rate, there's no fix now, other than disabling Advanced Rendering, which is less than ideal.
