Hey ISO someone to help me. I have just updated my game after not playing for a couple of months and after updating I launch the game, the opening trailer comes on and plays fine, loading screen fine, however when I click on one of my saved files i get the "serious error" message and it suggest that I restart the game, I did that and it give the same error message every time. I went again and did windows key + r and dxgiag because i saw others trying to help people with similar issues say to do that. please help
kinash0743 Thanks for the dxdiag, which lists a few serious crashes of your graphics driver. So please do a clean uninstall and reinstall of the driver, as described here:

When testing, restart your computer immediately beforehand, and don't open anything aside from Sims 3 and the EA App. If none of that helps, including the new admin Windows account, please let me know what antivirus you use.
