    Uninstall your most recent EP then download and reinstall the digital version from Origin. Instructions here.

I have a macbook pro. Ever since the latest software update, El Capitan, The Sims 3 will not load and repeatedly says no disc detected, insert disc despite the disc being in the computer. Is there an update that will solve this problem? I have uninstalled and reinstalled the game.
