Uninstall your most recent EP then download and reinstall the digital version from Origin. Instructions here.
I just bought Sims 3 and downloaded everything. The game loads just fine but after going through the start up process and before the game officially begins I get an error code telling me that the disk has not been found and to insert it into my disk drive. I can't even start the game up without the disk in it. I currently have a MACbook Air. I'm getting very frustrated and ready to take the game back. Please help.

This has always been an issue on Macs but has become more frequent for those running El Capitan. Have you downloaded and installed the digital patch?
There is already a stickied thread specifically for this issue at the top of this forum so I am going to lock this thread. Having all the information in one place helps others who are suffering from the same issue. If installing the digital patch doesn't work please post in the stickied thread with your Mac's details.
