How do you fix 'No game disc found! Please insert The Sims 3 Seasons disc before proceeding.'

I have tried uninstalling the expansion pack 'Seasons' and re-installing the game and restarting my Mac a few times and it still brings up 'No game disc found!'

My Mac software is up-to-date and so is my Sims 3 game. There are no updates needed.

How do I fix this? Please help.
