Dev: Cert check failed! Check Origin build

I installed origin and I typed in the product code (which is the serial number right?). I click download in my origin games then it comes up with certificates don't match: then underneath that: Dev: Cert check failed! Check origin build . so I don't know what to do now and also what does it mean?

did you download the origin that comes on the disk ? if so uninstall it and then go to http://www.origin.com/download and get the latest release version of the origin make sure to get the right version if your on a PC or Mac as there are two versions of origin and then once the origin is download and installed on the origin shortcut icon right click the icon run as admin
