Disappearing Kids
Please help! I had a couple in my Sims town and the girl was pregnant. I switched households, but when I switched back a while later they already had their kid. That would be fine, but the kid is nowhere to be found! The kids picture is in the family tree, their not dead, and their too young to move to a different neighborhood. This also happened a second time to another family and their baby. Where did they go?!?!
This is a very common issue. Most of the time, they are actually dead (without the tree saying so). The game randomly kills off Sims and since most adults are protected against that, it's the babies and toddlers that disappear.
Check the newspaper if there's any mention of the babies dying.
This is something that has gotten so bad and the only solution seems to be to play with that family until the little one has grown up to be a child. Then they seem safe.
