@aodoherty That's unfortunate, but maybe not surprising. If you really wanted to try to make this work, you could try reassigning the treasure to the two chests in question after you replace the lot. It might take some digging to figure out what the treasure and key are called, but they're probably somewhere on the list.
Hi there. I have made several build changes to Shang Simla Market, and succeeded in both requests. When I made changes to the build I did them while editing the town of China. You can do this be selecting China when you are in edit town mode in your home world, or travel to China and select edit town while there. I have even placed the city hall and hospital rabbit holes onto the lot. I made all changes before attempting any quests that involved the market lot. I made NO changes to the tombs below. I have included three screenshots of my changes. You write that you intend to delete the China file from your save. The game will generate a new China file for you at an unplayed and unaltered state. However, it has been my experience that if your game is in the middle you may not be able to continue. Also if you cancel the quest you may not be able to restart from the beginning. However, all is not lost. Do you have an old save from before you made the changes. If so you can always pick the game up from there. If not, have you considered saving your active family to the bin, (make sure you remove all keys and pangue's axe from your inventories), and starting a new game, and placing your active family from the bin into the new game. Your family members will retain the all skill levels learned and milestones achieved. Your marital arts skill and tournament level will also be the saved. The same is true with your employment level and pay in your home world. The down side you will loose all of your friends and relationships outside the active family. All World Adventures, quests will be reset and you will have to replay them.
@BillFlowerpotSorry that I logged in just now. In my case, I brought the market into a home world Edit town mode as I was not allowed to save at all while editing in WA countries, so the sims don't recognize Forbidden City at the market. Not sure it would still have the title when you replaceyour market in a new game, new China. You can reopen the lost quest 24 hours later on Nraas MC mod. I had some crashing while buidling houses without saving, so I wouldn't like to take a risk if I can't save anything in WA Countries.
Hi aodoherty. Did your efforts fix the routing problem. It seem to me that you have several problems not being able to edit and save, from within a World Adventure's world, without your game crashing is a big one. I have today 2024-12-21 uploaded my own remolding of Sang Simla Market. Note I have not made any subterranean alterations and all editing has been done on site. Maybe this will help your routing problems. I have also spotted a few others in the exchange. As for your wish not being fulfilled this is well beyond my expertise. I can only state from my own experience. I've had the same whish to visit the Forbidden City and as soon as I pass the threshold to the area (Going under any of the large arches) the wish is fulfilled and the happiness point are added. I think the Forbidden City is the whole complex of Market, Halls of the lost army, Emperor's plaza and six residential buildings within that square, not just the market. However, that does not mean that importing a build from outside the city walls will or will not upset this whole city status. Only someone with a great deal of tech know can answerer this. I also have had a wish failure mine being to win a tournament match. I have had that wish in my list for ages and have worked up to grand master without the wish being fulfilled. I understand from puzzlezaddict that this pack if fraught with problems.
