Download does not start

I have downloaded all of my sims games through origins. I currently have Sims 3, Late Night, Seasons, Supernatural, and High End Loft stuff. I then purchased Barnacle Bay. Origin told me to go to the Sims 3 website, enter redeem code, then download the game. When I clicked the download button, nothing happens. I did it first on Chrome and it would take me back to the desktop but other than that nothing would begin to download. I tried it from Internet exporer and an application run screen popped up i said accept and it took me to origins but still nothing happens. I have uninstalled origins, reinstalled origins, and still nothing happens when I try and download. Not sure what to do. But I paid for the game and want to play it.

    for the world if origin is opening try this

    try the following

    1. Start Origin
    2. Click Play on Origin to start the launcher
    3. Close Origin (completely not just minimize)
    4. Click add to game on the exchange or download on Store Stuff.
