Downloaded and Installed content not showing up.

I recently added seasons, generations and paranormal, now any content I downloaded and installed isn't showing up in game. The content also does not show up in my downloader, however when I go to the sims website to redownload it magically appears in the download window that the website brings up for me. Yet when I try to play the game from that downloader nothing happens. Then when I go back to steam to play the game my content is still gone... please help. I'm not sure what's gone wrong and would really like access to the things I spent lots of sim points on. Thank you.

  • Downloaded stuff from the Sims 3 Store ? DId it work before ?

Did you install it from the download Window (the launcher ?) ?

  • Reposting from the other thread. This is an issue specific to the Steam version. Last week and update hit that is not installing the Windows registry entries properly for the last 5 packs. You will either need to manually add those entries yourself or play the Origin version.

There is a problem specific to the Steam version of the game where early last week after the 70s 80s and 90s Stuff launched some update was made that accidentally removed registry entries for the last 5 packs or was no longer installing them properly. You can manually add the entries yourself. See here for more info:

If you still can't make that work then wait for a fix and hope Steam notices the problem at some point or make sure all your packs are registered to sims3.com and then redownload and reinstall everything through Origin.

I tried reporting the issue to Steam's support but they are very dense and are not getting it. They told me to check EA's support site or the forums but the problem is specific to the Steam version of the game and is definitely on their end.
