Ea Download manager need to update?

Question

So I just got a new computer, and I went to reinstall my sims games, I got the basegame downloaded, but when I went to install my expasion packs and it says "Please use your The Sims 3 Launcher to update your version of the sime 3 before installing this product"
I go to update my game and it says "EA download manger (EADM) is not on this machine please reinstall eadm to enable software updates.
I know EADM was replaced by origin, because I downloadwed this game off of origin. Advice?

Also make sure that Origin is updated
